MAURICEVILLE

CARD PARTY PRESENTATION TO MRS SCHERF. (“Times-Age” Special.) On Thursday night Mr and Mrs F. Scherf entertained a number of friends at a card party. The rooms were decorated with autumn leaves and berries. The prizes -were won as follows: Ladies, Mrs Hooker; men. Mr P. Condon. Consolation, Miss Mulligan and Mr A. Wilkin. .Supper was served and later Mrs J. Milner asked Mrs Scherf to accept a salad bowl and stand from the Croquet Club as a little reminder of the happy times spent on the croquet lawn. Mrs Scherf suitably replied and the singing of "For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow” brought a very enjoyable gathering to a close. Personal Items.

Mr and Mrs O. Nicolaison and family arc spending the weekend in Wellington. Mrs T. Dew. of Carterton, is visiting relatives in Mauriceville.
