WEDDING
BARNETT—BROWN. The marriage took place recently at the Knox Church, Masterton, of Heather Shaw, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs H. J. 11. Brown. Masterton. to William George, son of Mr and Mrs R. Barnett, Masterton. The ceremony was performed by the Rev John Davie. Entering the church with her father, the bride looked charming in a gown of cream taffeta packed satin, cut on fitting lines. Her tulle veil was held in place by a topknot of orange blossom and she carried a sheaf of lilies, chrysannthemums and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid was Miss Reta Brown, sister of the bride, who wore a blue and silver lame gown. She wore a topknot of flowers and carried a lemon tinted bouquet. The flower girl, Kathleen Percy was attired on a frock of apricot sprigged organdie. On her head she wore a band of small roses and carried a posy to tone. The best man was Mr Jack Percy, of Masterton.
At a reception Held subsequently the guests were received by Mrs Brown, wearing a purple ensemble with black accessories and Mrs J. Percy, who was attired in a black ensemble. Both carried bouquets of cyclamen to tone. Mr and Mrs Barnett left by motor car for a tour of the North Island, the bride travelling in a marina suit with black accessories.
