MOTOR DRIVERS
AGE AND EXPERIENCE. MASTERTON BOROUGH FIGURES. An analysis of drivers’ licences issued by the Masterton Borough Council for the current year shows that out of a total of 1891 drivers, 434 are women. Twenty-six men and two women of 70 years or over have received licences. Details of the ages and of the experience of drivers are given below: Males: 70 years and over, 26; 65-69 years, 42; 66-64 years, 85; 55-59 years, 106; 50-54 years, 134; 45-49 years, 130; 40-44 years, 162; 35-39 years, 183; 30-34 years, 161; 25-29 years, 190; 20-24 years, 144; under 20 years, 94; total, 1457.. Females: 70 years and over, 2; 65-69 years, 7; 66-64 years, 20; 55-59 years, 29; 50-54 years, 48; 45-49 years, 39; 40-44 years, 55; 35-39 years, 57; 30-34 years, 48; 25-29 years, 58; 20-24 years, 56; under 20 years, 15; total, 434. Males: Under six months’ experience, 10; 6 to under 12 months, 21; 1 to under 2 years, 68; 2 to under 5 years, 175; 5 to under 10 years, 236; 10 years and over, 947; not known, 3; total, 1460.
Females: Under six months’ experience, 11; 6 to under 12 months, 13; 1 to under 2 years, 52; 2 to under 5 years, 78; 5 to under 10 years, 95; 10 years and over, 184; not known, 2; total, 435.
