Two boys’ games were played here on Saturday under good conditions; the juniors were defeated by College Old Boys by 4 to 1 and the Scouts beat College B by 1 to nil. In the latter game play was very much in mid-fleld all the game, each of the goalies having a very easy time. If anything, however, the Scouts were the better team. Neither side worked as a balanced team. The local backs played better than their opponents in that they backed up more proficiently and also directed their clearing shots better. The. Scout forward line was not a sound combination by any means, but a good deal of this is due to the fact that some of the boys hold their sticks left-hand-edly and this prevents good directional passing. Too .much of the Scout attack went to the left where both the winger and the inside were too slow to get the ball to the right when necessary. Another feature of their play, too, was hard hitting straight up the field when near the circle. A very pleasing feature of their play, however, was their determined stopping. Day proved a thorn in the College attack. W. Trotman at half back is always in position but does not clear hard enough. The other game was. from a Greytown point of view, one of lost opportunities, a game lost more by what

they did not do than by what their opponents did do. In the first 20 minutes of the game College Old Boys were short and Greytown were pressing a good deal. Each side possessed forwards of calibre buf'they could not combine. Anker put a lot of thrust into the Greytown attack when he got the ball but tlie advantage was often lost. A slight change in this line would improve the whole team's play considerably. Those already made, namely by. bringing up Keltic and using Greathead as a back have been very bene-I fl ci al.
