HARRIERS
KAITERE CLUB. ANOTHER WIN FOR W. TEA HAN. On Saturday under good harrier conditions the Kiatere Harrier Club held its annual 31 mile race for the Novice Cup. There were only two starters. C. Summers and W. Teahan. From a fast start, both men kept up a steady pace, and for the first mile wore close together. From then on W. Teahan took over the lead, and was never again challenged, winning bj" 300 yds. Teahan is running very well at present and should make a bold showing at Dannevirke next week. C. Summers, although suffering from a slight cold, fan a good race. The seniors held a seven-mile training run with W. Burns. D. Nelson, L. Frances. A. MacDonald, Al. MacDonald and R. Searancke showing up well. The club has a good chance of doing well at the Dannevirke Rally next Saturday. The juniors held a training run over 31 miles. The sprint in over the last 200 yards resulted:—F. Sexton and S. Pickett 1. N. Jacobsen 3. I. Summers. 4.
The time in the novice cup were: W. Teahan 20.9, C. Summers 21.43. Next. Saturday a bus will leave the Post Office at noon for Dannevirke. Members who are unable to go should notify the secretary not later than Friday night.
