Great Northern Hurdles to Streamline OTAGO STEEPLES WON BY BALLYBRIT LADY CALLAGHAN WINS AT WANGANUI TIGRITERRE ACCOUNTS FOR NAPIER STEEPLES (BY “THE GRAFTER.") At the Auckland Racing Club's meeting on Saturday the Great Northern Hurdles was won by an outsider, Streamline, which was six lengths ahead of the second horse, All Irish. The favourite, Valmint, easily accounted for the Cornwall Handicap. The Grandstand Steeplechase at Wanganui was easily won by Lady Callaghan, and an outsider in Dark Eagle scored in the Connolly Handicap. The chief event at the Dunedin meeting, the Otago Steeples, was won,’ by the favourite Ballybrit, after a good race with Gay Boa. Night Wings won the Birthday Handicap by five lengths from Alma. The Napier Steeples at the Napier Park Racing Club’s meeting went to an outsider, Tigriterre, which won by six lengths from Skerryvore.
