ST. MATTHEW’S CHURCH
LADIES’ GUILD. OPERATIONS OF KNITTING CIRCLE. The members of the St Matthew’s Church Ladies’ Guild held their weekly meeting yesterday, Mrs E. J. Rich presiding over a large attendance of members.
The Knitting Circle handed in a number of‘balaclavas, Mrs Rich kindly offering to deliver them to the local branch of the Navy League. It was decided in future to hold social afternoons in the Common Room on account of the heating facilities. Final arrangements were made for the “Shilling Afternoon,” which is to be held in the Common Room on Thursday, June 6, at 2.45 p.m., when Mrs R. Miller has kindly consented to speak on “My Tour Through Europe.” The serving of afternoon tea brought the meeting to a close. PASSED WITH HONOURS! One week till the exam. . . . the candidate was caught in a stoi'm, chill and congestion threatened. “Take Pulmonas constantly,” his pal advised, and the result was marvellous. Pulmonas relieve soreness, tightness, inflammation by their penetrating antiseptic vapours. Keep a tin of Pulmonas with you. Unequalled for chest and throat. Easy and convenient to take. Pulmonas, 1/-, 1/6, 2/6. 5
