Senor Cantilo confirmed a Madrid report that the Argentine steamship Uruguay was sunk 130 miles west of Finisterre, Spain, by a German submarine. which forced the crew to abandon ship. Fourteen members of the crew arrived at Corunna, and the other fourteen are missing.
