HOME FOR REFUGEES
OFFERED IN ALASKA. BILL BEFORE CONGRESS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received This Day. 9.15 a.m.) WASHINGTON, May 30. Members of the Government and Allied diplomats are believed to be discussing plans for settling European refugees in Alaska. The proposal is to be incorporated in an Alaska Development Bill now pending. Congress will allow refugees to settle in Alaska and will extend non-quota visas to Alaska for five years, after which the immigrants will be eligible for citizenship. The development has'been undertaken under chartered corporations, each of 10,009,000 dollars capital.
