SECRET WEAPON?
TANK=CARRYING AIRCRAFT HUGE GERMAN PLANES. TWO HUNDRED READY LAST SEPTEMBER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. NEW YORK, May 27. The New York “Herald-Tribune” is informed that Hitler’s new secret weapon is a fleet Of aeroplanes each of which is capable of carrying a 30-ton tank. The planes have a wing-spread of 200 feet and four motors of 1200 horse-power, similar to. the Dorniers or Pan-American Airways flying-boats. They are constructed as a shell with trap-doors. A tank or light artillery can be loaded by means of a hydraulic lift.
The newspaper’s informant is a former German who said he was residing in the vicinity of the Black Forest, where, the planes were being, constructed, and 200 of them were completed last
