INDOOR BASKETBALL

INTERHOUSE COMPETITION. DRAW FOR THURSDAY NIGHT. The following is the draw for the Interhouse Indoor Basketball games to be played at the Y.M.C.A. on Thursday night:— LADIES. A Grade. 7 p.m.: C. Smiths v Y.M.C.A. 7.15 p.m.: Hugo and Shearers v Stock and Station. 8.45 p.m.: W.F.C.A. v Rovers. Woolworths a bye. B Grade. 7.50 p.m.: Hosiery v Garages. 8.5 p.m.: State Kitchenette v Grahams. 9.0 p.m.: Cathies v McKenzies. MEN. 7.30 p.m.: Reliance B v W.F.C.A. 8.25 p.m.: State Kitchenette v Vesta Batteries.

9.15 p.m.: Bouzaids v Reliance A. A large crowd is expected to witness these games as players are reaching peak form and teams are combining much better than formerly. In the ladies’ A grade the game between Hugo and Shearers and Stock and Station should provide a thrilling encounter as these teams have not been beaten in the competition. Both Cathies and McKenzies, in the ladies’ B grade, play good basketball and throw the ball about in fine style. This should be a fast game as both teams are very keen. In the men's section the game Reliance B v W.F.C.A. should provide the best exhibition of the evening. Reliance B is the only unbeaten team in the men's competition, and if W.F.C.A. can maintain their last week’s form a fast open game should be provided.
