PERSONAL ITEMS

Miss J. Allen, Featherston, is a visitor to Wellington. Mrs C. L. Marrett. of Masterton, is a visitor to Napier. Mrs Les Cameron (Tinui) was a guest at the Hotel Midland yesterday.

Mr and Mrs W. A. Johnston are Auckland guests at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton. Mr and Mrs T. H. Parkin, who have been visiting Masterton, returned yesterday to Lower Hutt. The death has occurred of Mrs J. J. Dormer, an old resident of Paekakariki. With her husband, who died in 1929, Mrs Dormer came to New Zealand from England in 1373, when she settled in 'Wellington. In 1906, they acquired property in Paekakariki, and for many years were constant weekenders. In 1924 they took up permanent residence in Paekakariki. Mrs Dormer was in her 89th year.
