WORKERS’ COMPENSATION
INTRODUCED IN FIJI. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 1.10 p.m.) SUVA. May 28. The Legislative Council passed the Workmen’s Compensation Act, which is being introduced in Fiji for the first time. It will not apply to agriculture or to coconut plantations. The minimum claim in the event of death is £lOO and the maximum £6OO.
The Fiji,general election is to be held in July.
