AMERICAN HOSPITAL BOMBED WHOLE STAFF & 200 PATIENTS • KILLED. KING LEOPOLD INFORMS MR ROOSEVELT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received This Day, 1.20 p.m.) PARIS, May 27. King Leopold is reported to have informed President Roosevelt of the deliberate bombing by the Germans of an American hospital at Ostend on May 26, which killed all the doctors and nurses and two hundred patients within a few minutes. Eyewitnesses say the building was blown to bits in a few seconds. Another wave of bombers dropped incendiary bombs on the wreckage.
