INVENTORY OF HORSES
FOR MOUNTED BRIGADE
ACTION BY WAIRARAPA FARMERS’ UNION.
■An inventory of horses in the district is being made by the Wairarapa Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union. This matter was one of those discussed at a special meeting of the executive held yesterday, when ways and means were considered of making men and horses available for the formation of a mounted brigade. Plans were prepared for the assembly of suitable horses, so that they might be inspected and later used, if the occasion should arise, for home defence.
