WELLINGTON. This Day.
. In a lively wrestling bout. Earl McCready retained the British Empire championship by holding John Katan. the challenger, to a draw. Neither obtained a fall. The contest filled the Town Hall, Wellington, with spectators. who were in high spirits and gave the wrestlers an -enthusiastic reception. McCready gave a fine display of orthodox wrestling, returning Katan's frequent elbow-jolts with full measure.
