The divisions of the Jervois Handicap on the first day of the Auckland Racing Club’s meeting on June 1. 3 and 5. are: First division: Minority, Hum a Song, Beeswing, Acreman, Kaspian, Esquire, Trig Station. Bronze Emerald, Prival. Constant Star, Rival. Hot Shot, Loch Acre, Milanion, Phil. Vaals. Stokowski, Veyana, Valley Maid. Second division: Clinch, Hunter’s Night. Kilcash. Philemup, First Gold Money, Strathire, Star Vaal. Calshot. British Talent, Expellant, Gay Bell, Joan Peel, Mayfair. Pleuron. Silver Glow, Tahiti, Venture, Te Haka. Brackets are as follows: —Greenlane Steeplechase: Right Royal and Thrust. Penrose Hurdles: Right Royal and Thrust. Great Northern Hurdles: Enjoyment and High Delight, All Irish .and Baldric.
Starting times: 11:15, Jervois First Division: 11.55. Greenlane Steeples; 12.35, Jervois Second Division; 1.20. Penrose Hurdles; 2.5, Great Northern Hurdles; 2.50. Cornwall Handicap: 3.30. Hunt Club Hurdles; 4.15, Members’ Handicap.
Otago Steeples. The following are the weights for the Otago Steeples, about 21m (to be run on June 1); Slayer 11.10; Gold Wren 11.2; Cottingham 11.0: Ballybrit 10.3; McHeath 9.12; Pandine 9.10; Mount Vai 9.4; Baitruin 9.3; Corban, Gay Boa. Whirr, Joy Boa 9.0. Great Northern Doubles. Seven horses have paid up in both Great Northern Hurdles and Steeplechase. They are All Irish. Enjoyment, Mio Lume, Aussie Ra. Baldric.
