DRIVERS’ LICENSES

APPLICATION NECESSARY THIS WEEK. Motor drivers are reminded that drivers’ licences must be obtained this week. Drivers not possessing licences after this period may be required first to undergo a test before issue besides rendering themselves liable under the Motor Drivers’ Regulations. The Borough offices will remain open till 6 p.m. this week from Monday to Friday inclusive for the convenience of those who cannot attend during regular office hours. It is urged, however, that all who possibly can should attend between 9 a.m. and noon or 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. as by so doing they will avoid delay in issue which is unavoidable in, rush periods.
