RED CROSS SOCIETY MANNEQUIN PARADE. ("Times-Age" Special.) There was a good attendance at the Town Hall last night when Mrs H. Clark staged a mannequin parade. The stage was artistically arranged as a drawing room making a good back ground for the various groups which were taken in three sections; first sports; secondly, street and afternoon wear, and thirdly, evening frock; which included a very charming brida group. Mrs H. Clark was commentator. Items were given by the following Mrs Skipage (song), Miss Stansel (song), Miss B. Bloxam (song). Mr H. Clark (song) and recitations by N and M. Willett, L. Wall and Clive Benton. The ■ floral bouquets and spray; were the work of Miss Tutbury. The sum of £lO Ils 6:1 was realised. The following additions to the Red Cross Fund are acknowledged: Pahautea and Kahutara (per S. Grant and J. Juno) £44 4s Id; South Featherstcr. Social Committee, £2O 13s 6ld. SHOP DAY. < There was a very generous response from the public both in produce and money for the shop day held in the Town Hall yesterday afternoon, the proceeds of which go to the Sick, Wounded and Distress Appeal. The well-stocked stalls were in charge of the following: Flowers. Mrs Arch Clark with helpers; produce, Mesdames R. D. Matthews and C. Collins, Messrs S. Benton and Yule; cake, Mesdames McKenzie. Sharp and Hunter; jumble, Mrs D. H. Riddiford, Miss Riddiford and Miss Chisholm; cordials and bran tub, Mrs J. E. Willett; competitions, Mrs Lowell and assistants; sweets, Mrs and the Misses Tutbury. The sum of £lOl was realised. The winners of various competitions were: dinner, Mrs R. W. Matthews; goose, A. G. Yule; pair of fowls, J. Juno; pair of ducks, C. C. Wilkinson; mystery parcel, Mr Hayes; embroidered night gown, Miss Fraser.
GOLF CLUB MATCH POSTPONED. As the King has requested a day of intercession on Sunday, the annual match with Tui Glen has been postponed. The match will probably take place next weekend. Drivers’ Licences. .The following were the ages of applicants for the first 100 motor licences in connection with the Featherston Borough Council. Males: —Three between the ages of 65 and 69; five between 60 and 64; seven between 55 and 59; five between 50 and 54; six between 45 and 49; eight between 40 and 44; 15 between 35 and 39; nine between 30 and 34; 16 between 25 and 29; six between 20 and 24; five under 20. Females:—One between 55 and 59 years of age, five between 40 and 44; four between 35 and 39; two between 30 and 34; one between 25 and 29; one between 20 and 24; one under 20.
