NAZI AIMS

ATTEMPT TO OVERTHROW WORLD ORDER AUSTRALIAN MINISTER’S ADDRESS. ALL CIVILISATION DEFENDED BY ALLIES. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Dav, 11.25 a.m.) CHICAGO, May 24. Mr R. G. Casey (Australian Minister) at an English-Speaking Union luncheon, said Australians believed the war was an attempt, after years of plotting, to overthrow world order without limit or distinction of continent or ocean, carried through by fire and sword, treachery and bribery. “We have no material aims but to pass on to our children the privilege to control-their own destinies,” said Mr Casey. “Early German successes were inevitable, but we must and will beat their machine, using all our resources, human, material and financial, to salvage what is left of Christian civilisation. I believe that if Britain and France go down, the way of life you and we hold dear will be most difficult to maintain anywhere in the world.”
