TIME OF SOLON
SCHOOL IN ANCIENT GREECE
In the time of Solon (G3B-558 8.C.) the children of Greece went to school from sunrise to sunset. They took a light breakfast at sunrise, a solid meal at mid-day. and a light supper at sunset. Not all the time of the day was spent in study; there were games and music to be attended to as well as books.
