President Roosevelt’s private secretary (Mr Stephen Early) declined to comment on published reports that Signor Mussolini had suggested that the United States should co-operate with Italy to obtain an adjustment of colonial claims. Mr Early disclaimed knowledge, but did not deny the reports. Mr Roosevelt is considering with Mr Knox. Secretary of the Navy, a coalition Cabinet.
