Udy 61, L. Mabey 33, R. Vitsky 30. BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION ' ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Bush Basketball Association was held in the Borough Council Chambers, Pahiatua, on Tuesday night when the arrangement bf the forthcoming season were discussed. The president. Mrs L. T. Russell, was in the chair. The president’s annual report was read and adopted. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £24. The following officers were elected; Patron, Dr H. Paterson; president, Mrs L. T. Russell; vice-presidents, Mesdames H. T. Dawson, B. Wills, C. Petersen, P. Davies. Sutherland, Cunningham. L. Parker, S. K. Siddells, C. Mabey. Woods and Henry and Messrs AV. T. Brown. Lovell, F. F. Barraclough, G. Hodd, AV. Kernick, A. C. Timms, R. B. Humphrey and Dr Watson; hon auditor, Mr P. R. Boagey; secretary, Miss E. Osborne; committee, Mrs A. Jones, Miss R. Peebles, the president and secretary, with power to add; selector for representative team, Miss R. Peebles. Teams were entered as follows:— Senior: Konini (2), Stars (2), Hamua, Tuis, Hukanui and Eketahuna. The junior competition was suspended owing to the small number of teams entered, and it was decided to form a new senior team in the NgawapuruaWoodville district. May 22 was fixed as the closing date for nomination. The season will be opened on May 25 with a tournament. It was decided to enforce a payment of 2s 3d per night for each town team, and Is per night for country teams. The Hamua team was allocated black and white uniforms. It was agreed that Tuis should not be asked to play before 8 p.m. Mr J. G. Chambers consented to act as timekeeper again and was accorded a vote of thanks for his services.
GOLF DRAW FOR MEDAL COMPETITION The following is the draw for a medal competition to be played on Saturday:—R. Dickson v B. Anderson; J. Dickson v M. Fraser; Murray v O. Walton; Simmers v Page; V. Anderson v Richardson; Shale v Liardet; Greathead v L. Broxyn; Marenzi v Bradley; Quinlivan v Fordyce; West v Hornblow; Higginson v Christie; D. Fraser v Duffil; Mcßride a bye. There will be an entrance fee for the competition and the proceeds will be donated to the local Red Cross appeal for sick and wounded soldiers and sailors. Personal Items. Miss M. Edmonds, Alfredton, is visiting Mrs A. Hanson, Stanley Street. Miss C. Wilson is paying a visit to Wellington.
