MAGISTRATE’S COURT SITTING HELD YESTERDAY. (“Times-Age” Special.) A sitting of the Greytown S.M. Court yesterday was presided over by Mr H. P Lawry, S.M. Reginald Maurice Flood was charged with the theft of £2 15s 9d and e 6 petrol coupons, the property of Hugh Morgan. Constable Gregor stated that the back window of the Tui Petrol Station had been forced open and money and petrol coupons stolen. Mr J. F. Thompson, who appeared lor Flood, stated that accused had yielded to temptation as he wanted to visit the Exhibition. Accused was placed on probation for 2 years. He is not to be out at night after 7 o'clock and is to keep out of billiard saloons. Duncan Alexander Smith was charged with having liquor in his possession in the vicinity of a dance hall at Grey town. Accused was fined £2 with costs 10s. , Dorothy Hume was charged with having driven a motor car without Laving a driver's licence and was tmed £1 with costs 12s. Norman Fuller was charged with having been found on licensed premises when such premises were closed. He was fined £l, costs £1 Ils. Harold Sullivan was convicted and fined 10s, costs 11s, for having ridden a bicycle without a light after dark. Mr Bouzaid was charged with having deposited parts of fish and. rubbish at the local dump. Mr J. F. Thompson, who appeared for the Borough Council, stated that the depositing of such rubbish at the dump was a danger to health. The case had been brought as a warning. Bouzaid stated that he had made arrangements to bury the fish in the future. He was fined £l, costs 10s. ’• ' Personal Items. Mr H. Keltie Junr., of Pahiatua, is visiting his parents prior to proceeding to Trentham. Mrs W. Carter, of Heathcote<Valley, Christchurch, is the guest of Mrs H.
