Another lecture by Mr A. S. Hely, tutor-organiser of the Victoria University College District of the Work■ers’ Education Association will be given tonight at 8 o'clock, in the Municipal Buildings. Motorist's residing in the borough are reminded by advertisement that drivers’ licences for the ensuing year are now being issued at the borough office. Early application will avoid lastminute rush at the end of the month. The third annual Wairarapa College Ball is to be held in the Assembly Hall at the College tonight. This ball is being conducted under the auspices of the Parents’ Association, and an energetic committee has all arrangements well in hand. A number of debutantes will be presented to Mrs G. G. Hancox and the Mayoress, Mrs T. Jordan, at 8.45 o’clock. Udy's Orchestra will supply the music.
