BRISK ATTACK ON MR LLOYD GEORGE

Beverley Baxter (Con), in the House of Commons, accused Mr Lloyd George of encouraging Herr Hitler at several critical moments during the last few years, and urged. Mr Lloyd George to reform.
Mr Lloyd George replied: “The creation of the terrible German power is due to our unfulfilment of undertakings to democratic German Governments. Since 1922, I have urged the conquering Powers to carry out the pledges given at Versailles.” The House adjourned at 4 p.m.
