BODY OF VICTIM RECOVERED.

VERDICT OF ACCIDENTAL DEATH.

(“Times-Age” Special.)

The body of the late Mr A. Holmes Warren, the victim of the Lake Onoke fatality was recovered al about 1.30 p.m. yesterday, not far from where the accident was believed to have happened. An inquest was held at Pirinoa yesterday afternoon before the District Coroner. Mr T. E. Lang. Evidence was given by Mr A. Hutcheson, of Lake Ferry, who saw the accident from the shore, by Mr Hugh Swainson. licensee of the Lake Ferry Hotel, who had been out shooting with M)’ Warren, and by Constable Bell, who is on relieving duty at Martinborough. A verdict of accidental drowning was returned.
