EXPRESSIONS OF REGRET.
(British Official Wireless.) ■ (Received This Day. 9.37 a.m.) RUGBY. May 8. The dcatli is announced of Sir Terence O'Connor, Solicitor-General.
He was aged 49. and had been a Conservative member since 1930. and Soli-citor-General since 1936. Before the debate in the House of Commons opened Mr. Nevelie Chamberlain expressed the grief which would bo felt at the news of Sir Terence O'Connor's death by the House, in all parts of which he had many friends. Mr. Chamberlain also referred to the death of Mr. George Lansbury, which he said would be sincerely regretted on all sides of the House, for there was no member who was more widely respected or who had won more universal affection.
