YOUNG FARMERS’ CONTEST MASTERTON A WIN CUP. RESULTS OF RECENT DISTRICT COMPETITION. In securing its fourth successive win in the Wairarapa Inter-Club Stock Judging contests the Masterton Young Farmers’ Club has again demonstrated its ability to field teams of competitors whose consistency can inevitably place their club ahead of others who depend more upon few individuals. Indeed this year, the Masterton Club has capped previous successes by securing first and second places with its two teams. Following are the details of the points awarded, given in the order indicated: Beef cattle, Clydesdales, baconer pigs, dairy cows, Romneys, Southdowns, total:— Masterton A: 214, 308, 280, 162, 200. 250, 1414. Alfredton: 130, 175, 130, 223, 132, 160. 950. Tinui: 90, 60, 255. 93. 179, 150, 827. Greytown: 140, 80, 155, 178, 131, 130. 814. Class results were as follow: — Beef cattle: Masterton B and Martinborough equal 230 points 1; Masterton A 214, 3; Greytown, 140, 4. Clydesdales: Masterton A, 308 points 1; Carterton B, 276, 2; Carterton A, 207, 3. Baconer pigs: Carterton A. 285 points 1; Masterton 280, 2; Tinui, 255, 3.
