AIR LOSSES IN NORWAY

TWO HUNDRED GERMAN PLANES NOT MORE THAN 37 BRITISH MACHINES. KING DECORATES R.A.F. OFFICERS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.0 a.m.) LONDON. May 7. It is reliably estimated that Germany has lost over 200 planes in the Norwegian campaign, largely as a result of R.A.F. bombing. The Fleet Air Arm and anti-aircraft guns brought down over 30 Germans. The British losses in Norway have not exceeded 37 planes, of which 16 were lost in raiding air bases, 5 in raiding enemy naval vessels and 1G in other operations. R.A.F. raids entailed a flight of about 1000 miles for each heavily loaded bomber. His Majesty has decorated a number of R.A.F. officers for gallantry in Norway. Relatives were invited to attend the investiture at Buckingham Palace.
