MISSING' FOXTON LAUNCH
TOWED IN BY PILOT CRAFT.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) FOXTON, May 7
On receipt of the information that the fishing launch Marge which had been missing since Friday, had been located by the motor-ship Hokitika, and was sheltering off Waitarere with a disabled gear-box, the pilot launch of the Foxton Harbour Board left port at 7 o’clock tonight in charge of Captain J. Bald, who was accompanied by Captain Thomson, of the scow Huanui. The state of the tide prevented the launch leaving earlier. The launch returned at 11 p.m. with the Madge in tow.
The Madge was out of fresh water, though she had plenty of food, and the Hokitika, which was en route from Foxton to Wellington, supplied fi* crew with two gallons. The launch received a.,severe buffeting during the heavy, weather on Sunday.
