HERD IMPROVEMENT
WELLINGTON—HAWKE’S BAY ASSOCIATION. AVERAGES FOR PAST MONTH. The Wellington-Hawke’s Bay Herd Improvement Association reports having tested 31.210 cows in the month of April and the average cow produced 4511 b milk of 5.5 average test yeilding 21.831 b butterfat. The highest group in the association was that of Makirikiri-Okoia wherein 398 cows averaged 351 b butterfat. The highest herd in the association was one of 8 cows which averaged 441 b fat and the highest cow in the association produced 901 b butterfat for the 30 day period.
