Reid's many friends will regret to hear that he has found it necessary to enter the Croydon Hospital for treatment. Miss K. Thornton, of Auckland, is staying with her sister, Mrs N. R. Armstrong, of Park Road, Carterton. At the graduation ceremony at Victoria University College held in the Town Hall, Wellington, Professor Sir Thomas Hunter, principal of the College, conferred degrees upon the successful students, among whom was G. C. Martin, son of Mr and Mrs W. Martin, of Carterton, who graduated in the Bachelor of Science section. Baby Carnival. Boy Breaks Arm. A son of Mr and Mrs T. Mellish, of Wyndham Street, Carterton, had the misfortune to break his right arm on Saturday. ,He was in Featherston when the mishap occurred. Playing with other children he tripped over a stick and fell heavily to the ground breaking his arm above the wrist. He was brought home to Carterton where Dr W. J. C. Wells attended him. x Fined for Drunkenness. Ronald Neville Earnshaw was charged before Mr W. M. Sorensen, J.P., at the S.M. Court, Carterton, this morning with have been drunk and was fined £2.
