CHURCH SERVICES
The preacher at Knox Church, Masterton, tomorrow morning and evening, and at Te Whiti at 1.30 p.m.. and Westmere at 3 p.m.. will be the Rev. J. M. Simpson. There will be no service at Matahiwi.
The first Sunday in May is generally observed by Protestant Churches as Bible Sunday, and the work of the British and Foreign Bible Society is given prominence. Tomorrow, at the Methodist Church, Rev. H. S. Kings will conduct both the morning and evening services. In the morning the subject will be "The Secret of England’s Greatness," and in the evening.. “The Right Power in the Right Place, for the Right Purpose.” The services to be held in the Y.M.C.A. tomorrow under the auspices of the Masterton Baptist Fellowship will be of particular interest to those attending. The preacher at 11 a.m. will be Mr Colin Brown, of Island Bay. and opportunity should be taken to heai this gifted speaker’s Gospel message. Children not attending any Sunday School are cordially invited to meet a) 10 a.m.
The Rev. J. M. Simpson will take the services at Knox Church tomorrow The talk to the young people in the morning will be “The First Girl Guide,’ and that to the adults. "Christ, the Only Mediator." In the evening the subject will be "The Question of the Ages." The Ven. Archdeacon Rich will be the preacher at both services at St. Matthew's Church tomorrow. The Rev. T. V. Pearson will conduct the evening service at Kuripuni. The services at the Salvation Army tomorrow will be conducted by Major and Mrs Mahafl'ie. Mrs Mahafl'ie will be the speaker in the morning service, when she will take for her subject. “The Lost Bible.” In the evening the Major will take for his subject. "The Infallible Word of God." The chart lectures will be continued on Sunday night, at 7 o'clock, in the Ruhamah Gospel Hall, the subject being: "70 Weeks or Heptads"—"Calvary." There will be interesting explanations made of present-day events. The services at the Lansdowne Presbyterian Church tomorrow will be conducted by the Rev. D. McNeur. The Rev. R. Dickie will take the service at Mauriceville at 11 a.m. Services will also be held at Rangitumau and Kopuaranga.
The Church of Christ services in the Oddfelows' Hall tomorrow will be conducted by' Mr W. J. Lowe.
