The Hon P. Fraser. Prime Minister, will leave Wellington for Auckland tomorrow night. Messrs R. N. Mason. Wellington, and M. A. Cleland. Martinborough, were at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton, yesterday. Mr John Ratcliffe, of Masterton, is to report on May 17 for training as a wireless and electrical mechanic at the Air Force camp at Levin.

Flying-Officer Clive Wylie, formerly of South Road, Masterton. has recovered from the injuries sustained by him in a forced landing when flying in England recently. He has now resumed flying activities. Mr W. M. Sellar, son of Mr and Mrs G. W. Sellar, of Masterton. has received advice from the Air Department that having passed the prescribed medical examination he has been accepted for service in the Air Crew Section of the Air Force. He will not commence training for some months. The Personnel of the Tasman Air Commission is to consist of Sir Harry Batterbee. High Commissioner for the United Kingdom in New Zealand; Captain E. C. Johnston, Assistant Direc-tor-General of Civil Aviation in Australia; and Mr J. G. Young. DirectorGeneral of the Post and Telegraph Department in New Zealand.

A tribute to the work of Mr G. H. Ferry in the interests of the Young Farmers’ Movement was paid by Mr S. Freeman, Dominion Secretary, at the annual meeting of the Wairarapa Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs in Masterton yesterday. “Mr Perry assisted me greatly in the formation of the first clubs and he has maintained his interest ever since,” said Mr Freeman. Mr Perry was re-elected patron of the Wairarapa Clubs. Sergeant J. B. Cotterill, M.P., for Wanganui, is home on sick leave, and is undergoing medical treatment. It will depend on how he responds whether he will be able to. serve with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force overseas. If he is not fit for active service abroad, he hopes to be allowed to serve within New Zealand. Sergeant Cotterill enlisted soon after the outbreak of war and went into camp with the second echelon, later being given the rank of sergeant. Serious foot trouble developed, and he has had to be invalided home in the meantime.
