Y.M.C.A. CARD PARTY
LAST EVENING’S COMPETITIONS.
The fortnightly card party held in the Association Hall last night, under the auspices of the Y.M.C.A. Ladies’ Auxiliary, proved highly successful. 74 people being in attendance. Both bridge and five-hundred were engaged in, according to the choice of the players and some very keen competition was in evidence.
The prize winners in the bridge section were Mrs E. Staniforth and Mr J. Williams. and. in the five-hundred, Mrs Erie Jones and Mr J. McCarthy. Il was announced that a special prize would be awarded, after six nights' competition, to the player with the highest aggregate score in each game. Supper, served by the ladies, brought to a close a gathering that was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The next-card party will be held on May 16.
