INTERHOUSE ASSOCIATION.
LAST NIGHT’S RESULTS.
The competition conducted by the Wairarapa Inter-House Association commenced last night at the Y.M.C.A.. when some particularly keen games were witnessed. Mr E. Hodder, president of the Y.M.C.A.. welcomed the players, and in a brief speech officially opened the season. The following .are the results: — Girls' A Grade (cup presented by Mr G. Daubney): Hugo and Shearer’s 8 (V. Hendry 4 goals) beat Rovers 2 (J. Gleason 1 goal); Woolworth's 8 (J. Harding 4 goals) beat Y.M.C.A. C (J. Snellgrove 3 goals); Stock and Station 12 tN. Brady 3, J. Gemmell 3) beat W.F.C.A. 10 (J. Palmer 1, A. Keisenberg 3.) Girls' B Grade: Hosiery Mills 11 (L. O'Neil 11) beat State Kitchenette 4 (S. Dunbar 4); Cathies 18 (E. Harding 5, N. McDougall 2, L. Ross 2) bea; Graham's 12 (E. Jones 3, M. Prout 3); McKenzie’s 6 (N. Hargood 3) beat Garages 4 (V. Russell 2). Men (cup donated by Messrs D. Costello and D. Leit): Vesta Batteries 12 (D. Leit 4, Wickens 2) beat W.F.C.A. 10 (N. Faulknor 2, B. Harrington 2, N. Wilson 1); Bouzaid’s 27 (J. Harrington 7, S. Faulknor 6. and 1 penalty) beat Stale Kitchenette 0; Reliance I 21 (J. Dickson 5, F. Bodie 1. D. Cardno 3, and 5 penalties) beat Reliance II 7 (F. Morton 1, B. Bodie 1. J. Barnes 1, and 1 penalty). A field goal counts 2 points and a penalty goal 1 point.
