AFTER BEING DAMAGED CREW GO ABOARD ANOTHER WARSHIP. ENEMY MACHINE SHOT DOWN IN FLAMES. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 9.10 a.m.) LONDON. May 2. An official announcement says: The convoy sloop H.M.S. Bittern caught fire after repeated attacks by German bombers, one of which was shot down in flames while others were severely handled. Our own forces finally sank the Bittern, to avoid danger to navigation. The crew went aboard another warship. No casualties are reported.
