GOLF CLUB COMPETITIONS FOR SATURDAY. (“Times-Age” Special.) The following is the draw for the fourball oogey to be played on Saturday, commencing at 1.30 p.m.:— Miss L. Greathead and Mrs Anderson v. Mrs W. Simpson and Mrs Higginson; Mrs Henderson and Miss D. Dickson v. Mrs Page and Miss K. Herbert; Miss P. O’Regan and Miss E. O'Donnell v. Miss J. Angus and Mrs J. Berney; Mrs R. Dickson and Mrs Mcßride v. Miss K. Fraser and Miss A. Simmers; Mrs Fraser and Miss E. Simmers v. Miss L. McCowan and another. Anyone unable to play is asked to ring Miss W. Dickson, ’phone No. 152. The following is the draw for a medal round to be played on Saturday:— R. Dickson v. D. Fraser; J. Dickson v. Mcßride; Murray v. B. Anderson; Simmers v. M. Fraser; V. Anderson v. O. Walton; Shale v. Page; Greathead v. Richardson; Marenzi v. Liardet; Quinlivan v. Brown; West v. Bradley; Christie v. Fordyce; Duffil v. Higginson; Hornblow v. Henderson. A bogey match will be played on Sunday. Players are to arrange own partners. Foresters’ Lodge. A meeting of Court Makakahi A.O.F. was held on Tuesday when Bro. J. Fargher, C.R., presided over a fair attendance of members. Bro. B. Booth reported that several members were still on the sick list, while others had declared off the sick fund. Bro. S. Daniel reported having received a letter from the secretary of the Wairarapa Friendly Society’s Council, asking if he would try and .arrange a card tournament between the Wairarapa and Eketahuna Societies. It was agreed to support the proposal and two delegates were appointed to the Friendly Societies card committee. Bro. M. Hansen suggested inviting the district officers to hold a meetin) in Eketahuna when their itinerary was being prepared. The suggestion was agreed to. Personal Iteffis. Mrs J. Matthews, of Saunder's Road, Alfredton, is a visitor to Wellington. Mrs F. Hooper, Parkville, has returned from a visit to Wellington. Mrs Foster Senr.. Parkville, has returned from a visit to Waipukurau. Mr F. Goodhew is recovering from a severe attack of influenza. Mr and Mrs F. Preston paid a visit to Wellington during last week.
