TWO MONTHS’ HARD LABOUR
SENTENCE ON INTOXICATED MOTORIST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. This Day. Two months’ imprisonment with hard labour was the sentence imposed on Alexander McMillan, on a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a car. when the ease was heard before Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M. The Magistrate pointed out that McMillan had three previous convictions for similar offences. McMillan's licence was cancelled for five years. McMillan, a commercial traveller, aged 37. admitted the charge.
