ANZAC DAY
ARRANGEMENTS FOR THURSDAY. ‘ SERVICE IN MASTERTON PARK. Arrangements have been completed by the Wairarapa Returned Soldiers’ Association for the 25th Anzac Day Memorial Service to be held in the Public Park, Masterton. on Thursday, April 25. Ex-servicemen, wearing medals and decorations, are to assemble at the Soldiers' Hostel. Essex Street, at 10.15 a.m., and will move of! for the Park
at 10.40 a.m.. headed by the Masterton Municipal Band. The service will be presided over by the Ven Archdeacon E. J. Rich. C.E.. and an appropriate service has been arranged, after which the returned men will march back to the Hostel to be entertained at morning tea by the ladies of the war-time Liverpool Committee. If the weather conditions are unfavourable the service will be held in the Municipal Hall at the same hour. As this occasion marks the 25th anniversary of Anzac Day it is anticipated that a record attendance will be in evidence. All ex-servicemen, whether members of the association or not, are invited to parade.
