BIG ALLIED PURCHASES IN U.S.A. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. WASHINGTON. April' 18. Mr Purvis announced that the Allied purchasing mission had already purchased "huge quantities” of the latest type of United States military aircraft. He added that contracts had been signed in New York yesterday for unspecified numbers of Curtiss pursuit planes and Douglas bombers. A third contract is being concluded for one of the latest types, which was released on April 15.
