The following business was dealt with: — Transfer of goods service licence, C. Roigard to E. Goss. Newman. —Nogranted. New goods-service licences: T. Saba Featherston.—Granted until August 31. R. M. Johnston. Tinui. —Granted. A. J. and W. E. Elder, Featherston. —Not granted. Amendments to goods-service licences: Masterton operators, O. S. ShuteGranted. B. N. Harding. — Granted. Mauriceville Dairy Co., Mauriceville — Adjourned. J. L. Leggatt, Carterton.—

Granted. B. Sewell. Carterton.—Granted. Ancilliary.—Pain & Kershaw. Ltd., Martinborough.—Application refused. Review of licences:— J. R. Donovan. —Granted. H. W. Schofield, Tinui. —Cancelled. In connection with the reviewing of Mr Donovan’s license. Mr Skoglund referred to complaints received that prices had been cut by Mr Donovan, end slated that the case should be regarded to be a warning to all carriers in the district. If the accountant sent up by the authority to examine carriers’ books reported any cases of cut rates, a warning would be given, and in the event of a second offence the licence would be cancelled.
