CYCLIST KNOCKED DOWN

WELL-KNOWN MASTERTON MAN INJURED. ACCIDENT IN QUEEN STREET. Shortly before one o'clock today, Mr. R. J. King, a' well-known business man of Masterton. had the misfortune, while cycling to his shop,, to be knocked down by a motor car driven by Mr. Robert Jordan, of 13 Hessey Street. Mr King, who was attended to by Dr. Archer Hosking and removed to the Masterton Hospital by ambulance, suffered a fracture of the thigh-bone.

As far as can be ascertained Mr. King was proceeding south along Queen Street and the car involved in the accident came out from Park Street and also turned to the south. There were said to be two or three cyclists in the vicinity at the time of the accident.
