HERD TESTING GROUP FIGURES. ("Times-Age” Special.) The Wellington-Hawke's Eay Herd Improvement. Association reports having tested 33,546 cows in the month of March. The average cow produced 554 lb. milk of 5.2 average test, yielding 28.711 b. butterfat. The highest group in the Association was that of Makirikiri-Okoia. wherein 400 cows averaged 371 b. butterfat. The highest herd in the Association was one of eight cows which averaged 451 b. fat and the highest cow in the Association produced 871 b. butterfat for the 30-day period.
