4, MASTERTON CLUB SEASON OPENED. The Masterton Indoor Bowls Club opened its activities for the season with a two-life pairs competition. The attendance of new players augurs well for a successful season. ,F. Mooney and Stans (si defeated A. Gray and Pickering (s) in the final game. Only one night is available for play this week and the following are the fixtures: —7 p.m.: No. 1. A. Henson. J. Harris. Hendry. Nuttall v. Catton. Hanley. R. Read. Finlayson: No. 2, Butler, Mooney. Leigh. Stains (s) v. Dewar. Petersen. Onion. Dixon; 8.30 p.m., No. 1. Dipp. Andrew. Mayes. Grantham v. O'Donnell. Anstice, Henson, Moore; No. 2. Phillips. Norman. Miller, Roff v. L. Read, Attree. Pinkney, Walker, Other members whose names are not mentioned have been drafted into teams the composition of which can be seen in the hall on Wednesday. All players should be punctual so that each game can be played in the time allowed.
