HARRIERS

KIATERE CLUB. SEASON OPENED ON SATURDAY. On Saturday in cold weather, the members of the Kiatere Harrier Club held the first run of the season. This was a training run over a five-mile course, the going being fairly heavy. There was a good attendance of runners, two new seniors and one junior turning out. Several of the runners showed good form and the new members gave promise of being useful additions to the club. Next week members will attend the official opening of the Masterton Harrier Club’s season and are to be at the Park Oval at 2 p.m. MASTERTON CLUB. TRAINING RUN. There was a good field at the Masterton Harrier Club’s training run on Saturday afternoon. The run. which was three miles, went from the Park Gval and followed the usual championship course. The opening run will be held next Saturday.
