MARTINBOROUGH
RED CROSS SOCIETY ANNUAL MEETING. ("Times-Age” Special.) The annual meeting of the Martinborough branch of the Red Cross Society was held in the Parish Hall on Thursday night. There was an excellent attendance and the chair was taken by Mr W. B. Martin. The report and balance sheet were read and adopted. Officers Were elected as follows for the ensuing year:—Patron, Mr C. W. Skill, president, Mr D. C. Pryor; vicepresidents, Mesdames Blundell, Griffiths, Dr Coutts, Rev F. O. Ball, Messrs W. B. Martin and N. C. D. Mason; secretary, Mrs Jolly, treasurer, Miss Hibberd, executive committee. Misses K. Martin, Alpe, Crook, Mesdames S. Chapman, F. B. Wright, Caseley, Kershaw, Mason, Coutts, W. B. Martin, Mr F. B. Wright, and the Rev John Mann; Country Representatives. — Mesdames R. Nicol, D. Cameron, D. W. McConnell, C. H. G. Hewitt. G. W. B. Hardy. Atkinson, A. Morrison, and Misses McLeod. The appointment of the V.A.D. social and sewing committees was left to the incoming executive. At the close of the meeting. Captain Galloway, Dominion Secretary, gave an interesting address on Red Cross work.
