SOCIAL GUILD. AN ENJOYABLE GATHERING. The members of Knox Ladies' Social Guild met on Wednesday at the residence of Mrs E. G. Norman. Cole Street. Masterton. Despite the unpleasant weather there was a good attendance and all present spent an enjoyable time. Mrs G. W. Morice was in the chair. It was decided to buy additional crockery, tea-waggons, etc., and a committee consisting of Mesdames Morice, Welch and Miss McGregor was set up to make these purchases. Much appreciated musical items were contributed by Mesdames Morton Prior and Traynor. Afternoon tea was served. The Rev J. Davie on behalf of the Guild members proposed a vote of thanks to Mrs Norman (hostess), and to those ladies who had provided the programme, the motion being carried by acclamation.
