LECTURES ON INDIA

DR BRAMWELL COOK VISITING MASTERTON. OI.D BOY OF WAIRARAPA HIGH SCHOOL. Captain Dr Bramwell Cook, who is paying a visit to Masterton during the coming weekend, is a son of Commandant Cook of the Salvation Army, who was the officer in charge of the Masterton Corps about 25 years ago. Dr Cook is on a holiday from India with his wife. He is Chief Medical Officer of the Emery Hospital, Anand. India. He is looking forward to his visit to Masterton, as he is an exscholar of the Wairarapa High School, where he matriculated. He has also many friends in the district whom he is desirous of meeting again to renew happy associations.

Dr Cook will give two most interesting lectures while in Masterton — one. illustrated, next Saturday night, with 120 realistic pictures, and another on Sunday afternoon, at which Dr N. H. Prior will preside. Dr Cook will also conduct the Salvation Army Services on Sunday. At the morning service lie will speak on "The Missionary Challenge in India Today.” The subject of the afternoon lecture will be "The Value of Salvation Army Medical Work in India," and in the evening Dr Cook's subject will be "The Message of Christ for India.” Dr Cook is a most fluent and interesting speaker. All Christian friends interested in missionary work are cordially invited to hear him.
